Boundary Changes
The town of Vinalhaven was annexed from Hancock County in 1838; a few estates were annexed from Lincoln County in 1836 and 1854
The towns of Appleton, Camden, Hope, North Haven, and Vinalhaven were set off to Knox County in 1860.
