Land was set off to form Eden (now Bar Harbor) in 1796

The Cranberry Isles were set off and incorporated in 1830; Bear Island was set off to that town in 1849

Bartlett's, Hardwood, and Robinson's (now Tinker) Islands were set off to form and incorporated as the town of Seaville in 1838; Bartlett's Island was reannexed to Mount Desert in 1859; Hardwood and Tinker Islands were annexed by Tremont

Land was set off to form Mansel (now Tremont) in 1848
