Boundary Changes

Mere Point was annexed from North Yarmouth shortly before incorporation in 1739

Merriconeag Neck and neighboring islands were annexed from North Yarmouth in 1740, incorporated as the district of Harpswell in 1758, and as a town in 1775

Parts of Freeport were annexed in 1790, 1833, 1839, and 1850
