The Will of Job Emery, Sr.

In the Name of God amen, The twenty sixth Day of February in the tenth Year of King George the seconds Reign over Great Britain &c Annoque Domini 1736/7, I Job Emery Senr of Berwick in the County of York Yeoman being weak in Body but of perfect mind & memory, Thanks be given unto God Therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die Do make & Ordain this my last Will & Testament, That is to say, Principally & first of all, I give & Recommend my Soul into the Hands of God that gave it, and my Body I Recommend to the Earth to be buried in Decent and Christian Burial at the Discretion of my Execrs hereafter Named. Nothing doubting but at the Resurrection I shall Receive the same again by the mighty Power of God. and as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this Life I give Demise and Dispose of the same in the following Manner & form.
Impr I Give to my Sons Job Benjamin, Jonathan & Jabez my Right in the Comon & undivided Land in Berwick that I have not already Disposed of to be to them their Heirs & Assignis for ever in Equal Shares.
Item. I give to my Son Joseph five shillings he haveing already had his Portion in Land.
Item. I Give to my Daughters Vizt Charity, Sarah, Eliza Mary Abigail, Miriam, Mary & Olive five pounds a peice to be paid them in bills of Credit as my Execrs can conveniently Do it.
Item. I give and bequeath to my son Jabez all my Homestead of Housing & Lands with all ye appurtenances to him his Heirs & assigns for ever.
Item. I give to my well beloved Wife Charity all my Personal Estate to her sole use & behoof for ever and my will is that She shall have the use of my Homstead during her Widowhood & if she should marry again she shall have only her thirds of the sd Real Estate
finally I Constitute & ordain my beloved Wife & my son Jabez the Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby Revoking all other Wills by me made.
