The deposision of Joseph Alexander
aged 39 yeares or there abouts
The said Deponent being lawfully sworne before me testifieth and saith that he the said deponent being tending of Mr John Alcock of Kittery in the province of maine ship wright the said Alcock being sicke, the said Alcock being by sd Deponent desired to make his the sd Alcocks will : said Alcock said that all his Estate in what ever kind forme or nature soever that was his or of right ought to be his he the said Alcock willed and sayed that all should be to his the said Alcockes wife and as shee pleased to Dispose thereof, and farther saith that the said Alcock was then to the oppinion of said deponent Compis mentis and that severall times before sd Alcock Dyed said Deponent talked with sd Alcock and found that his last Will and testament was as aboue sd, all his Estate reall and temporall and further saith not only that the said Alcock desired him the said Deponant to take notice that what is aboue said should be his last will and testament which he the said Alcock would as he said haue put in Wrighting saue that by the lamenese of his hands he could not
