Part of the town of Danville (incorporated in 1802 from Pejepscot Claim Plantation and Little's Gore as the town of Pejepscot; name changed in 1818) was annexed in 1859, the remainder in 1867

The boundary with Minot was altered in 1844, and part of that town was annexed in 1873
